ChopPoints is Nigeria's leading customer loyalty platform that allows any business to create and manage their own customer loyalty program. Customers earn points with every purchase (1 point per ₦1,000 spent) and can redeem them for rewards.

How it works:

  • Businesses register and get their own loyalty program dashboard
  • Customers get registered with unique Customer IDs
  • Points are automatically calculated and awarded for purchases
  • Customers can redeem points for rewards and discounts
How much does ChopPoints cost?

FREE Plan: ₦0/month

  • Up to 50 customers
  • Up to 7.5% cashback rate
  • Welcome emails only - No points earned/redeemed notifications
  • Basic customer management tools

PREMIUM Plan: ₦15,000/month

  • Up to 1,000 customers
  • Up to 15% cashback rate
  • Full email notifications - Points earned, redemption confirmations

How do I sign up my business?

  2. Click "Start Your Business Program"
  3. Fill in your business details (name, email, contact info)
  4. Choose your plan (Free or Premium)

You'll receive a welcome email with your login details and next steps.

Customer Management

How do I add customers to my loyalty program?

Method 1: Manual Registration

  1. Go to your dashboard → "Add Customer"
  2. Enter customer's name, email, and phone number
  3. Customer gets automatic ID (e.g., JDO456)
  4. Customer receives welcome email with their ID

Method 2: QR Code Self-Registration

  1. Print QR codes from your dashboard
  2. Display at your business location
  3. Customers scan and register themselves
  4. You approve registrations in your dashboard
What is a Customer ID and how is it generated?

Every customer gets a unique Customer ID when they join your program. The ID format is:

Customer initials + phone digits for easy recognition

Examples:

  • John Doe with phone ending 5678 → Customer ID created automatically
  • Sarah Johnson with phone ending 5432 → Customer ID created automatically
  • Ahmed Bello with phone ending 7777 → Customer ID created automatically

This ID is unique to your business and easy for customers to remember.

Can customers check their points without calling me?

Yes! Customers have multiple ways to check their points:

  1. Public Points Checker: Go to choppoints.com → "Check My Points" → Enter Customer ID
  2. Email notifications: Automatic emails after every purchase and redemption
  3. Ask your staff: You can look up any customer in your dashboard

The "Check My Points" feature is available 24/7 and shows their current balance across all businesses they're enrolled with.

Points System

How are points calculated?

Standard Rate: 1 point per ₦1,000 spent

Examples:

  • ₦500 purchase → 0 points (below minimum)
  • ₦1,500 purchase → 1 point
  • ₦3,200 purchase → 3 points
  • ₦10,000 purchase → 10 points

Cashback Value: Each point is worth ₦75 (7.5% cashback rate by default)

Business owners can customize:

  • Free Plan: Up to 7.5% cashback rate
  • Premium Plan: Up to 15% cashback rate
Are there limits on how many points customers can earn?

Yes, to prevent abuse:

FREE Plan Limits:

  • Maximum 10,000 points per customer
  • Maximum 50 points per single transaction (₦50,000 order value)
  • Daily transaction limit: ₦750,000 in total sales
  • Maximum 50 transactions per day

PREMIUM Plan Limits:

  • Maximum 50,000 points per customer
  • Maximum 150 points per single transaction (₦150,000 order value)
  • No daily sales limits - Process unlimited daily revenue
  • No transaction count limits - Unlimited daily transactions
  • Fully customizable limits in settings

Customer Tiers Multiply Limits:

  • Bronze customers: 1.0x limit (standard)
  • Silver customers: 1.2x limit
  • Gold customers: 1.5x limit
How do customers redeem their points?

Redemption Process:

  1. Customer visits your business with their Customer ID
  2. They tell you what they want to redeem points for
  3. You check their balance in your dashboard
  4. Process the redemption with description and points amount
  5. Customer receives confirmation email automatically

Common Redemptions:

  • Free meal (typically 20-30 points)
  • Discount on purchase (10-15 points)
  • Free side item (5-10 points)
  • Birthday special (varies)

Technical Support

I forgot my login password. How do I reset it?
  1. Go to choppoints.com
  2. Click "Business Login"
  3. Click "Forgot Password?" link
  4. Enter your business email address
  5. Check your email for reset instructions
  6. Follow the link to create a new password

If you don't receive the email within 10 minutes, check your spam folder or contact support.

Why aren't customers receiving email notifications?

Email Notification Plan Restrictions:

  • FREE Plan: Only welcome/registration emails are sent
  • PREMIUM Plan: Full email notifications (points earned, redemptions)
  • Wrong email address: Check customer details in your dashboard
  • Spam folder: Ask customers to check spam/junk folders
  • Upgrade needed: Switch to Premium for automatic point notifications

To verify email delivery:

  1. Go to dashboard → Customer details
  2. Check "Email Status" column
  3. Green checkmark = delivered successfully
  4. Red X = delivery failed

Security & Fraud Prevention

How does ChopPoints prevent staff abuse?

Single Business Owner Access:

  • Only business owner has access to the loyalty dashboard
  • Simple email + password authentication
  • All transactions recorded with timestamps
  • Complete audit trail for all activities
  • Secure data handling and customer privacy protection

Automatic fraud detection:

  • Orders 3x larger than customer's average
  • Multiple orders within 30 minutes
  • Round number amounts flagged for review
  • Complete transaction history tracking
What should I do if I suspect fraudulent activity?
  1. Review the alert: Check Dashboard → "Security Alerts"
  2. Investigate: Look at customer purchase history
  3. Verify with customer: Call or ask them about the transaction
  4. Take action: Reverse points if confirmed fraudulent
  5. Report to support: For serious cases involving staff

You can:

  • Reverse any transaction within 24 hours
  • Adjust customer point balances
  • Add notes to customer profiles
  • Temporarily suspend accounts if needed
